Pick Colors With Confidence, Not Guesswork
The color on a chip rarely looks the same on a wall. Nampa's bright, high-desert light pulls warm undertones out of grays and can make whites read cold or yellow depending on which way the room faces. Choosing well means looking at the color in your space, next to your floors, cabinets, countertops, and trim.
After 30 years of painting homes across the Treasure Valley, we've seen which colors work in which situations. We'll narrow thousands of options to a short list, sample them on your walls, and help you commit to a palette you'll still love after the paint dries.
- Interior palettes: walls, trim, ceilings, and accent colors
- Exterior schemes: body, trim, door, and garage door colors
- Cabinet and built-in colors that coordinate with counters and flooring
- Large samples applied on your walls so you can see them morning and evening
- Sheen recommendations for durability and the look you want

On-Wall Samples
Large sample patches in your short-listed colors so you can live with them for a day or two before deciding.
Sheen & Finish Advice
Flat, eggshell, satin, or semi-gloss, matched to each surface for the right balance of look and durability.

Color Consultation Questions, Answered
What Nampa customers usually ask before we start.
Is color consultation included with a painting project?
Yes. Helping you choose colors is part of how we work on every interior, exterior, and cabinet project. If you'd like to start with color before committing to a scope, let us know when you request an estimate and we'll talk through options.
How many colors should I sample?
Usually two or three per surface. More than that tends to make the decision harder. We'll help you narrow the list first, then sample the finalists on the wall.
Why does the color look different on my wall than on the chip?
Lighting, the size of the area, and the surrounding colors all change how a paint color reads. A small chip under store lighting can look very different from a full wall in Nampa's afternoon sun, which is why we sample in your home.
Can you recommend colors that help a home sell?
Yes. We regularly work with Nampa realtors on listing prep and know which warm neutrals and whites photograph well and appeal to buyers.
Do you help with exterior colors too?
Yes. Exterior schemes have to work with your roof, stone or brick, and the neighborhood, and the color often reads lighter outdoors. We'll help you choose body, trim, and door colors that hold up visually and physically.
Which paint brands do you work with?
We primarily use Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore, and we can color-match a favorite shade from another brand into those lines.
